Immediate Upper or
Lower Dentures |
It is a denture that is placed immediately after the
teeth are extracted. Patients are advised by the dentist
or Oral Surgeon to have they teeth extracted and we will
manufactured they dentures for them. We know how
emotional this process can be and our clinicians will
guide you through this challenging process to help
reduce some of the stress. Importantly, we listen to you
to create the desired smile. Our biggest advertisement
is our patients and therefore it is absolutely
critically that you are totally satisfied. These
dentures will require a reline after 3-4 months. |

Implant
Dentures |
At Pro dentures we work closely with dentists to
provide patients the option of having implants place to
secure their dentures. There is a choice of either fixed
or removable appliances. The option that is most
commonly selected by patient is to have two implants
placed to secure the lower denture. This works out to be
the most cost effective way to solve the problem of
lower dentures that “Float” around in your mouth. |

|
Partial dentures |
These are removable dentures that are used to replace
one or more missing teeth, when a fixed replacement like
a bridge is not suitable. They come in a few different
types, which are named after the main material that they
are made out of. These are Chrome, Valplast and Acrylic.
Our clinicians will help you decide which is the best
type for you.
|
- Chrome
(Metal) Dentures.
These are
best fitting partial dentures; they are thin, strong
and comfortable. They last the longest of all the
partial dentures types because of their strength,
meaning they are less likely to break, and therefore
are better value for money than acrylic partials.
The metal frame is custom made in our laboratory to
fit around your remaining teeth, and replacement
teeth are chosen to fit discretely into your smile.
To get a Chrome partial we will require you to visit
a dentist to have a quick check-up, maybe have some
adjustments made to help the denture fit better, and
have the dentist sign off that your remaining teeth
are in good health. This is called getting an oral
health certificate, its similar to a WOF but for
your teeth.
|
|
|
- Acrylic Dentures.
These are the most inexpensive of three types, but
also the most fragile. We recommend that you only go
for this option if your remaining teeth are not in
the best shape, and you expect to be losing more in
the near future. This type of denture allows us to
add additional teeth to it as you lose them. As they
are made entirely of acrylic, they are thicker and
weaker than Chrome partials, and we recommend that
you wear these for no longer than 24 months. Small
metal clasps may be added as needed to improve the
fit of these partials.
|
|
|
- Valplast Dentures.
Valplast dentures or flexible dentures are a
breakthrough in partial denture construction in
recent years. They are most often recommended to
those who are only missing one or two teeth. Because
of Valplasts flexibility, no metal clasps are
required creating a more aesthetically pleasing and
comfortable denture.
|
|
|
- Valplast in
combination with metal.
This
option is literally the best of both worlds. You get
the strength of metal and the flexibility of the
Valplast that eliminates the metal clasps. It is
more expensive for obvious reasons but is worth its
weight in gold. In terms of removable partial
dentures this is the Ferrari by every sense of the
word. Come in and find out if this is suitable for
you.

Relines or Rebasing
Dentures |
A patient’s gum will shrink and change over time due
to the natural physiological changes impacting the human
body. Often a perfectly good and well designed denture
will become loose for no apparent reason. In this
instance, a reline may be advised. |

Urgent dental repairs |

your broken denture ASAP |

Addition of Teeth to
Partial Dentures |
One treatment modality very common is the addition
of a denture tooth when the patients natural tooth (or
teeth) requires extraction. It is sometimes possible to
add teeth to a partial denture BEFORE the tooth
extracted, saving the patient any embarrassment at
having a “gappy” appearance. |
|
Bite Splints |

teeth? You could be clenching or grinding your teeth

reasons, one of the most common is stress. Come in and
